The Copper Rose is a Sonoma-based design and rental house founded by seasoned event planner Brittany Bijan. Dedicated to creativity and imagination, our house is known for a unique and globally-inspired aesthetic and a commitment to craftsmanship and thoughtful sourcing—a collection that truly speaks for itself. With years of event experience, Brittany identified the needs of the industry and her team traveled the world to source one-of-a-kind pieces that were missing from the creative landscape. The result is a collection of furniture, textiles and accessories that you can’t find elsewhere, artfully coming together to complete your over-the-top vision.
A true creative spirit, Brittany designed the collection around beauty, creativity and artisanship. The result is a house fueled by the love of design with a belief in the time and effort that’s required to source these one-of-a-kind pieces and the story that lives behind each one. Most importantly, we believe in doing all of this with a care and thoughtfulness that will be remembered long after each event.
Founder / Creative Director
As a seasoned event planner and designer, Brittany works closely with clients to achieve an aesthetic that intimately speaks to their individual style. Her early career as the owner and principal designer of Harlin & Sparrow events proved that her passion for people and design is unmatched in the industry and is palpable in every event that she touches. It was this passion for the industry, coupled with her deep knowledge of events, that inspired the founding of The Copper Rose.
A true creative at heart, Brittany discovered while wedding planning that there were certain elements of her designs that she couldn’t source from the rental world, often limiting the scope of her vision. She imagined unique pieces from around the world, carefully sourced to fill this need, providing artists and event planners with even more tools to create unmatched beauty. Brittany remains committed to providing her clients with amazing customer service and rentals that catch the eye at the very first glance.
An East Coast girl at heart, Brittany fell hard for California and lives in Sonoma with her husband and four children. In everything that she does, Brittany provides extreme care for every detail, every person and every event. She is calm, caring and enjoys working closely with clients to ensure that everything is perfectly executed behind the scenes.
A Sonoma native with a rich background in event production, Olivia cultivated her event expertise in two of the world’s most renowned event destinations – Maui and Sonoma.
Prior to joining The Copper Rose, Olivia worked as an Event Production Manager at local Sonoma favorite The Girl & The Fig. Prior to that, Olivia spent several years with Sonoma’s premier wine magazine, Wine Business Monthly, planning, executing and overseeing wine industry trade shows across the state of California.
Over the years, Olivia has carefully cultivated an eye for design and an ability to flawlessly translate her client’s visions into event-day realities. Above all, she prides herself on being by her client’s side every step of the way.
Gianna Satine Bijan
A true artist, Gianna brings this talent and creative spirit to her work at The Copper Rose. She has a background working in the hospitality industry and thrives when she is meeting and engaging with new people and able to use her mind artistically—solving problems and approaching work scenarios with passion and creativity.
Excited about the event industry and the opportunity to work alongside her family, Gianna looks forward to creating the best possible experience for every client. As a passionate artist, she is used to diving into projects head first and looks forward to doing so in her role as Production Coordinator.
Outside of work, Gianna hones in her art—especially portraiture—spends time with her family, and enjoys getting outdoors to exercise.
Creative Jasmien Hamed adapts and transforms like a chameleon. Whether it’s styling, creative direction, curation, sourcing, or designing for her own fashion label, she has always drawn inspiration from her travels to bring a global flare to every project.
Raised in Holland to a Dutch mom and Egyptian father, she grew up in a diversely creative world. After graduating from graphic design school she quickly landed a job as a fashion editor for a Dutch magazine. After shooting a fashion story in San Francisco, she fell in love with the Bay Area and has called it her home since 2003.
In 2012 she traveled to Marrakech and began dreaming of ways to bring the craftsmanship of Moroccan artisans to the US. This year that dream came alive as she traveled the world to find and curate unforgettable furniture and objects for The Copper Rose collection.
Director of Sales
You could say that Megan was born into events—a natural gatherer of people, an in-depth listener, and a lover of people and laughter. She brings more than 17 years of event experience and a loyalty and dedication to her clients that sets her apart.
As Director of Sales, with a focus on business development, Megan creates and cultivates new and existing client relationships—something her outgoing Gemini personality equips her with. She naturally nurtures relationships and makes people feel like the most important person in the room.
Prior to joining the team, Megan gained vast industry knowledge and deep connections working with top San Francisco Bay Area caterers, New York restaurants, including Eleven Madison Park and Oceana, wine country stand out Meadowood Napa Valley, and corporate event company Reaction Management Inc. When she’s not planning events, you can find her sharing her passion for wellness and movement through yoga, traveling, playing golf or spending time with friends and family.
